We're still alive

Hello,

As you may have noticed, it's been awhile since I've sent out an email to everybody. I don't have a very good excuse, but you'll have to excuse me anyway.

Sara's pregnancy is going well -- the due date is May 21, so the baby could come at pretty much any time now. I'll be sure to send out an email once the baby arrives with all of the usual statistics, and we should have pictures up on the web page pretty quickly as well.

Speaking of the web page, I've made a few updates in the last few days. In addition to some organizational changes, you can find new pages on Linköping, the Swedish language, and a bit about Easter. You can find these and past pages at http://arnoldzoo.org [link updated 2004-11-08]. There are still lots of things I need to add, and hopefully I'll have some pictures of our recent weekend trip to Gothenburg in the next few days.

Things are going pretty well for us here. The days have gotten much longer -- the sun currently rises around 4:40 AM and sets 16 hours later at 8:48 PM. By the end of June the days will be over 18.5 hours long., with the day beginning at 3:30 in the morning and the sun setting after 10:00 at night. I would worry about losing sleep, but I'm sure the new baby will have a greater effect on that than the sun. The weather has been really nice some days, and other times it is rather cold and dreary. But on the whole it is getting better.

We are rather homesick at times, but we're looking forward to the summer when we can start doing more travelling (hopefully). We've taken a couple of weekend trips around Sweden that have been quite enjoyable, and we're planning on seeing more of Scandanavia while Sara's parents and sister are here in June. But we are also looking forward to returning home after September.

Well, I think that's it for now. It has been nice hearing from some of you recently, and we look forward to hearing from more of you. (hint, hint) I'll be sending out another email when the baby arrives, but until then:

Hej då (good bye),

Jeremy
