Hello,
As the subject says, we're coming home to Rochester. Just for a visit though -- we won't be returning permanently until the beginning of October. But I've just made the flight reservations for a week-long trip. We'll be arriving the evening of Friday, February 7, and leaving the afternoon of Saturday, February 15.
We're still making our plans for that week, but in general it will include: me working (I've got a few work-related things to catch up on, and any days I'm working don't count against my limited vacation time), taking care of various personal business, shopping at American stores, eating at American restaurants, enjoying a First Baptist church service, and of course spending time with friends. I'm guessing that we will be quite busy, so if you would like to spend some time with us you should probably send us an email to make plans in advance.
Our lives have been fairly normal for the past couple of weeks, but before that we had our holiday trip to Germany and Austria. The trip went pretty well, and we had a great time. We've written quite a bit about the trip on our web page and there are a lot of pictures too. Check it out at http://arnoldzoo.org [link updated 2004-11-08].
Sara's pregnancy is going well. The baby is kicking on a daily basis. We're working on picking names and figuring out what we need to buy before the baby comes -- that's part of the shopping we will be doing in the U.S.
Next week we start Swedish classes. I'm not sure how much we'll be able to learn in 2.5 hours per week, but hopefully we'll figure some of it out.
I think that's about it for now. We look forward to seeing many of you in February, and we look forward to hearing from others in the mean time.
Jeremy and Sara
