Hello,
As always, it's been too long since we've sent an update out to everybody on how our lives are going. There is plenty to tell -- just not enough time to tell about it all.
If you've looked at our web page recently (http://arnoldzoo.org [link updated 2004-11-08] you've already seen our biggest news: our little family is growing. If you haven't already seen it, the web page includes the first picture of this new addition. Sara is due May 20, so we will be having the baby in Sweden. Sara has already had a couple of appointments, and everything is going fine. This will obviously be a big change for us, but we're looking forward to it.
We moved to our new apartment at the beginning of December. We're still in the same building, so our address hasn't changed. We do have a new phone number though, as I mentioned in our last email. Send me an email if you need our address and phone number.
Recent updates to our web page include some pictures of our old apartment (we don't have pictures of the new one yet, so that will have to wait for a future update). There is also a new page telling about the Thanksgiving dinner that we had with our Swedish friends. I hope to write about what we've seen of Christmas in Sweden, but I haven't had time yet. Hopefully that will be a new addition in the next few days.
We're going to be spending Christmas in Germany. We leave on Thursday, so it's been a busy week as we prepare. We'll be taking a train from here to Germany, and then traveling around to a few different cities there. For New Year's we will be in Austria, and then we will return here. We're looking forward to the time off, and the chance to see more of Europe. We'll be sure to take pictures and tell you all about our trip once we return.
The days are getting quite short here. We currently have just over 6 hours between sun rise and sun set. For comparison, Rochester currently has just under 9 hours of daylight. That's a pretty noticeable difference. Fortunately the days start to get longer in just a week or so. And we'll be much happier when the situation is reversed next summer.
Well, I think that's all I have time for right now. We'll probably be checking email occasionally while we are gone, but not as regularly as we normally do at home. But we'll do our best to respond eventually.
God Jul! (Merry Christmas!)
Jeremy and Sara
