Hello,
We've been really bad about keeping in touch with people, so I wanted to send out a note letting you all know what we've been up to. Hopefully we'll be able to reply to people more personally now that we're catching up all at once. Feel free to forward this on to other people whose email addresses I may have lost. (And if somebody forwards this message to you and you would like me to remember you for future emails, just send me a message and I'll put you in my address book.)
The big news in our life is that we are heading to Sweden. IBM is sending me to Sweden for 1-2 years (we're planning on one, my manager is hoping we'll stay for two) to work with one of our business partners. (http://www.intentia.com/). We'll probably be getting there sometime in September. We'll be living in Linköping, which is a couple hours south of Stockholm. You can find a map at http://www.liu.se/en/visitors/.
Obviously, we're excited about this opportunity, although it is making life more complicated for a bit. It should be a good experience for us though, as neither of us has ever been outside of North America. We're hoping to have room for visitors to stay, so if any of you is contemplating a trip to Sweden, be sure to let us know. :)
Sara just completed her Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She won't be working while we are in Sweden, although she has some work to do completing the study which she started for her thesis, and will keep busy planning our weekend trips. It should also be a good vacation for her after a couple of years at school.
We're planning to get a digital camera and have a web page which we will update with pictures as we settle into Sweden and travel elsewhere in Europe. I'll be sure to send the URL once I have it, and I plan to send periodic updates by email as well.
Apart from Sweden plans, our lives are fairly normal. We're enjoying our church -- it's bursting at the seams with 1200 - 1500 people attending services every Sunday, and we're beginning work on a new building. I'm behind the sound board about every other week for our more contemporary service trying to make it sound good. We've also been keeping busy with the "young marrieds without children" group at church.
I think I'll leave it at that for this time around. I hope you are all doing well, and I hope I can keep in better contact with people. I look forward to hearing how everybody is doing -- it's been quite a while since I've talked to most of you.
Jeremy and Sara
